Description
STRATAFIX™ PDS™ Plus Suture, Size 0, Violet, 45 cm, with CT needle, is a synthetic absorbable knotless tissue control device composed of polydioxanone and coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan. It features a barbed monofilament structure that enables secure tissue approximation without the need for knots, improving consistency and reducing operative time in soft tissue closure procedures.
The barbed design distributes tension evenly along the suture line, promoting better wound edge alignment and tissue approximation. The incorporation of bidirectional barbs enhances holding strength and reduces the risk of suture slippage, particularly in high-tension or deep-layer closures.
This device is indicated for single-patient use only. Any opened or unused devices must be discarded to maintain sterility and prevent contamination.
